- SparkPlug 2 - extracting and running it
- ---------------------------------------
-
- These files should be extracted using Arc/UUDecode into a sub-directory called
- !SparkPlug. Once there, you should run the ObeyMe file (by typing *Obey ObeyMe)
- to correctly set the filetypes.
-
- Once you've achieved this, enter the Desktop and double-click on the
- !SparkPlug icon. This will install the application on the icon bar. To
- decode something, simply drag the uuencoded archive file onto the icon bar
- icon and an archive window will appear containing the icons for the files
- to be unpacked.
-
- To dearchive these files, choose "Select All" on the SparkPlug menu and
- then drag all these selected files onto an open Filer window. A short time
- later, the dearchived application will appear and you can safely delete
- the original archive file.
-
- One tip is to use the RAM disk for both the original archive and the decoded
- files to speed up dearchiving (highly recommended if you only have floppies).
-
- NOTE: You require at least CLib 3.50 (normally in your !System folder) to
- run !SparkPlug. This *cannot* be supplied with SparkPlug 2 because it
- is not in the Public Domain. SparkPlug 2 archives can only be decoded
- using SparkPlug 2 or Spark 2 (the latter is not in the Public Domain).
-
- Please note that Arc and SparkPlug 2, whilst in the Public Domain, were
- ported/written by David Pilling.
